Cyril Davis, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Program Director at Lakes Center Mental Health Network. He earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice from Wayne State University, specializing in psychiatric-mental health nursing. Dr. Davis provides evidence-based, patient-centered care and is committed to advancing resilience, recovery, and equitable access to behavioral health services.

Dr. Davis served 15 years in local and federal law enforcement before a traumatic brain injury redirected his life’s mission toward healing and advocacy. He transitioned into healthcare, pursuing a career in emergency room nursing and psychiatric care. These experiences inform his dedication to supporting individuals, particularly first responders and those who struggle in silence, and guide his efforts to help build a more responsive and compassionate system of care.

As an Oakland Community Health Network Board Member, Dr. Davis brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to his role. He is committed to closing gaps in care and supporting individuals and families facing behavioral health challenges. His work focuses on reducing stigma, strengthening partnerships, and creating meaningful community impact, with a continued commitment to ensuring care is delivered with dignity, access, and hope.
