LEAP® (Listen-Empathize-Agree-Partner) is an evidence-based SAMSHA communication tool designed for those working with and caring for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. LEAP® is for any relationship, but has also been shown to increase adherence to mental health treatment, based on research of Dr. Xavier Amador.

In the afternoon, attendees will learn about harm reduction in substance use disorder situations. These combined are 3.5 Peer CE's.
