OCHN offers a broad scope of treatment services such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, case management, medication assisted treatment, withdrawal management, and residential treatment.

Substance Use Treatment Services contain a variety of different Levels of Care, or levels of intensity of treatment to best meet an individual’s needs, using nationally recognized patient placement criteria. All Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) contracted programs are available to both insured and uninsured individuals.
Each person served through one of OCHN’s community providers will be evaluated to determine which Level of Care would best fit their current circumstances and the below list should serve as an informational guide for navigating treatment.

Substance Use Treatment Services contain a variety of different Levels of Care, or levels of intensity of treatment to best meet an individual’s needs, using nationally recognized patient placement criteria. All Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) contracted programs are available to individuals who have Medicaid andHealthy Michigan Plan, as well as to those who are uninsured. Treatment services allow for a variety of in-home and out-of-home situations and needs in order to assure the best possible treatment for everyone.
In respect to the barriers that can sometimes accompany seeking treatment, OCHN and our community providers have identified additional services that individuals seeking treatment may benefit from. These ancillary services are not applicable to everyone but should be discussed with your provider and can include:
OCHN contracts with both Domiciliary Intensive Outpatient Program, and a Domiciliary Outpatient Program. Domiciliary care provides a safe, structured environment for an individual to reside in while receiving the above intensive outpatient, or standard outpatient treatment. Individuals seeking treatment for any Substance Use Disorder can be screened for services by calling Oakland County Access at 248-464-6363.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is a combined treatment of a medication regimen and Substance Use therapy that can help an individual on their journey to long-term recovery. OCHN contracts with community providers to deliver MAT in outpatient settings to individuals experiencing an Opiate Use Disorder. Individuals interested in enrolling in a MAT program should contact Access at 248-464-6363.
Intensive Outpatient Programs are more intensive treatment services that allow an individual to live at home, and maintain their status in their community, while coming into the treatment facility for 9-19 hours per week.
Standard Outpatient Programs are more flexible, meaning that an individual can remain in the community while scheduling Substance Use Treatment for up to 9 hours per week.
Residential Treatment consists of an individual entering a clinically staffed and structured, drug-free, environment to begin Substance Use Treatment. Residential programs are broken into short-term and long-term residential, where length of stay is determined by medical necessity. OCHN contracts with residential treatment facilities located across Southeast Michigan. A Substance Use Health Home (SUD HH) is a model of care that coordinates all aspects of a person’s physical health, behavioral health, and social needs and an individual can be enrolled through their Substance Use Treatment provider. You will receive services aimed toward recovering from your health needs and a personalized care plan from your team of providers at no cost. Participation in this program is voluntary and eligibility for a Health Home is determined by having a diagnosis of a substance use disorder and being a resident of Oakland County.

Withdrawal Management is a model of care aimed at detoxification of an individual from substances in a safe environment under medical care. OCHN has multiple contracts with withdrawal management programs. If you, or a loved one, are interested in being considered for residential treatment, please contact Access at 248-464-6363.

OCHN recognizes the unique substance use and recovery needs of women, pregnant women, women with children, and primary caregivers to children. Pregnant and parenting women are a priority for admission to treatment. Clinicians, Recovery Coaches, and Case Managers provide services to promote success and enhance the individual’s recovery journey. Additionally, outpatient Women’s Specialty Services can provide transportation and child-care services. At the residential level, individuals entering residential treatment can bring their children with them.
