LOCUS Fundamentals – 5/14/26

PREREQUISITES & REGISTRATION:
Participants must complete the 3.5 hour online LOCUS Basic Training and submit certificate via email a minimum of 72 hours prior to the in-person training date. LOCUS Basic Training (online) is provided free of charge to Michigan practitioners by MDHHS. Completion certificate should be sent as an email attachment to jacobsb@oaklandchn.org

We suggest contacting your Human Resources coordinator if you don’t have the passcode. In order to complete the training and receive a final certificate, participants must complete the online learning prior to the training date and attend the full in-person workshop.
SESSION DESCRIPTION:
This live workshop will build upon knowledge gained from LOCUS Basics Training (online). Participants will delve more in-depth into the LOCUS assessment and level of care tool. Covered topics will include: a quick overview of LOCUS dimensions and scoring, advanced scoring nuances, independent criteria, overrides, writing great clinical rationales, and using the Oakland Community Health Network EHRs for capturing assessment scores and data use. Participants will practice scoring a full LOCUS. This workshop is open only to the OCHN service network. LOCUS Basics (virtual) is a mandatory prerequisite.
CONTINUING EDUCATION: 3.5 Social Work CEs approved for this training.
This in-person training has 3 Social Work CEs approved. It will take place at the OCHN building (5505 Corporate Drive, Troy, MI). Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign-in and get settled. Coffee and water will be provided. Please bring your LOCUS manual if you have one.
