To provide participants with an in-depth look at the changes and improvements in the Fourth Edition. Participants will have the opportunity to apply and practice key components of the Criteria including an overview of the Service Characteristics Standards, Discharge and Transition Criteria. Participants will gain knowledge about the following:
- The new levels of care in ASAM Criteria 4th edition in comparison to the ASAM Criteria 3rd edition
- Identify and describe the ASAM criteria assessment dimensions
- Rate risk and severity across all dimensions
- Identify services and modalities needed
- Identify appropriate patient levels of care
