Sarah Guadalupe received both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University. She worked as an outpatient therapist for the Henry Ford Health System, a crisis screener at Common Ground, and an emergency room social worker at Crittenton Hospital. Guadalupe also spent time working with children and families during her time as a public k-12 school social worker. In 2017, she began as the Director of Disability Support Services at Oakland University, where she completed a PhD program in Early Childhood. There she oversees the Disability Support Services Department and advocates for those living with disabilities. Sarah is a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council at Oakland University, as well as other committees including the Autism Council, Accessibility Council, and Universal Design for Learning Committee.
As a board member, Guadalupe looks forward to giving back to her surrounding community. She intends to continue to advocate for those living with mental illnesses, emotional disturbances, and developmental disabilities.
