          Frequently Asked Questions

If the event is in-person and I have difficulty getting there, will there be an option to dial in?

No, because if the event is listed as “in-person,” then there will be no virtual connection established and no place to dial in to. You can, however, cancel your registration by clicking on the link provided in your registration confirmation email and use our website to register for a different event.

What if I cannot make it on the day of the training?

You simply need to cancel your registration. When you first registered, you received a confirmation email. Within that email is a link that allows you to unregister. If you deleted that email or cannot find it, simply click here and follow the on-screen prompts.

If I’m not sure what day will be more convenient for me, can I register for multiple sessions of the same class?

Since class sizes are limited and doing this prevents another person from being able to register, we do not allow registration of multiple sessions of the same class. If you realize as the class day draws near that the day is no longer convenient, simply go back to your registration confirmation email and cancel/unregister. This will open up your ability to register for that class on another day.

What kind of computer or software do I need to attend a virtual class?

OCHN utilizes Microsoft Teams software. Device and hardware compatibility requirements are:

          • Desktop (Windows/Mac): Requires a minimum 4 GB RAM, 3 GB of available disk space, and a 1024 x 768 or higher screen resolution, plus a graphics card with DirectX 9 or later support. A processor with a minimum of 1.1 GHz or faster, two cores, is also required.
          • Web: Works on modern web browsers like Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
          • Certified Devices: For an optimized experience, you can use a device that has passed the “Certified for Microsoft Teams” program, such as Teams Rooms devices, panels, phones, or displays.
          • Peripherals: A USB 2.0 video camera, microphone, and audio output device are needed for full meeting functionality.

If I participate in a class that offers a certificate, how long does it take for me to receive the certificate?

You will receive an email with your certificate attached within 7-10 days of the completion of your training session.

For Continuing Education classes, what are the requirements to receive credits?

You must stay for the entirety of the training class and complete the course evaluation that is offered at the end of the training. For Social Work CEs you cannot be more than 15 minutes late to the training. For Peer CEs, you cannot be more than 10 minutes late to the training. A degree of tardiness beyond what is specified here would not qualify you for the CEs (though you might qualify for a certificate of attendance). You would need to specify this in the course evaluation form.

What is the dress code for training sessions?

The temperature in the building tends to vary greatly, so we highly recommend you dress in layers that will allow you to regulate for your greatest comfort.

Can I bring my children or other guests to a training session?

Room size is limited to pre-registered guests and there is no childcare onsite at OCHN, so no children or guests are allowed in training sessions.

Can registered training sessions be transferred to someone else?

This is not possible for a variety of reasons. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration and ask the individual who can attend to register. If you are not able to communicate with the original registrant, please email us.

How long does OCHN retain copies of my certificates?

OCHN does not retain copies of certificates. Certificates are sent via email, and it is your responsibility to download and retain a copy for your records.
