Nicole Lawson, Ph.D.
Deputy Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer
Nicole Lawson is the Deputy Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer of Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN). She is responsible for the overall service delivery planning and management of Access, Clinical Practice, Justice Services, Quality Management, Service Network Programs and Contracts, Substance Use Disorder, Training, and Utilization Management / Review. Her other duties include facilitating the Improving Practices Leadership Team; providing direction to managers and individual employees through coaching and problem solving; serving as a member of the Human Resource Committee; and developing an organization strategic team, time-targeted, outcome-based plan.
Nicole began her career with Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) as a clinical analyst, where she implemented evidence-based practices for youth / families, administered the SED waiver pilot, and participated on the State Lead Steering Committee to develop a youth peer services model.
Since then, she advanced her career further with OCHN by holding the previous positions as Manager of Clinical Practice and Healthcare Innovation, as well as Clinical Director, where she was responsible for clinical services provided to adults and youth with intellectual or developmental disabilities, adults with mental illness, and youth with serious emotional disturbance. Nicole is also responsible for the implementation of all integrated healthcare efforts, as well as the development and implementation of all clinical policies, protocols, and procedures.
Nicole received her Bachelor’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Rochester College; her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Siena Heights University; and her Doctorate of Philosophy in Business Administration from Northcentral University.
