Matthew Owens, MA, LLP, LLPC
Chief Network Officer
Matthew Owens is Chief Network Officer (CNO) for Oakland Community Health Network. He has 20 years experience in the mental health field, working within a vast spectrum of public mental health agencies throughout the tri-county region. Prior to accepting the newly created CNO position at OCHN, Matt served as director of Business Management and Provider Network for Macomb County Community Mental Health (MCCMH). Other positions he has held in the past two decades include, program director for Common Ground, as well as provider contract manager, access/utilization manager, and contractual therapist for MCCMH.
In his role as CNO, Matt is responsible for the overall planning, development, and implementation of programs and operations with OCHN’s service network, quality improvement, and provider network management teams.
His extensive experiences in public mental health service delivery are valued assets necessary to fulfill the day-to-day responsibilities of the CNO position, including leading the administrative direction and implementation of comprehensive, county-wide mental health programs. Matt also will assist the agency’s CEO in assessing the community needs of and protecting service to Oakland County’s most vulnerable citizens.
Matt received his Master of Arts in Counseling from Oakland University in 2000 and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Michigan State University in 1995.
